Welcome to the home page of Wilmington Council 1074 of the Knights of Columbus. We are located in the historic city of Wilmington, NC.

On January 29, 1906, Wilmington Council 1074 became the third council chartered in North Carolina. From this seed many other councils in Southeastern North Carolina can trace their start. We have been active helpers to our church and community for over 109 years. As such we have played an integral part in the shaping of Catholic history in North Carolina. This is a role that we plan to be continued far into the distant future.

Our Grand Knight for 2017-18 is Sir Knight John Schmidt.  Council 1074 has the honor of serving two parishes here in Wilmington, NC. We equally serve the historic Basilica Shrine of St. Mary in downtown Wilmington and also Immaculate Conception Catholic Church which is located in the Myrtle Grove area about 3 miles from Carolina Beach. We are one of the largest councils in North Carolina with over 230 members.

The Council Chambers are located in the basement of Tileston Hall on the corner of 5th and Ann Streets in Wilmington opposite the Basilica. Council meetings are always held on the second Tuesday of the month in the Council Chambers in the months of June, July, September, October, December 2015 and also in January, March, April 2016. Meetings will also be held at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall in the months of August and November in 2015 and also in February and May 2016.

We welcome any current membership card carrying Knight to visit us at our business meeting, Stop in, tell us about your council and all the good things that it does. We can all gain new ideas and perspectives from each other. Then stay and join us for refreshments in our social room in Tileston Hall.

For those of you that are reading this that are not Knights but are a Catholic gentleman over 18 years of age we encourage you to explore the option of becoming a Knight. You will join the almost 2 million Knights worldwide that contribute so much to help those in need. We are a fraternal family oriented Catholic organization and your ideas and talents are needed. Knighthood will help you become a better Catholic, a better man and a better member of the community. Our order is based on the principals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. We invite you to please contact our Grand Knight at for further information.
