Knights Serve Your Church & Community

The Knights, so well nicknamed as the “strong right arm of the church,” are also known as a helping hand in our community. Our council sponsors, conducts, financially supports or supplies volunteers to programs in many areas divided into Community, Church, Family, Youth and Culture of Life Activities.

Community Programs

We provide both financial support and volunteers for:

·       Special Olympics

·       Wounded Warriors

·       Meals On Wheels

We help supply drivers for the New Hanover Regional Hospital Courtesy Van.

We collect food and funds for the Tileston Outreach Program.

Operation LAMB – We collect money and distribute Tootsie rolls in front of stores. The proceeds fund programs for mentally challenged youth. Last year this program collected over $900,000 statewide.

We sponsor an annual golf tournament; all proceeds go to the Special Olympics and Step Up For Soldiers.

Church Programs

Council members are involved in numerous Parish ministries.

We financially assist diocesan seminarians through our council’s RSVP program.

We actively contribute to help St. Mary’s sister parish in Honduras.

We sponsor a soup and prayer night on a Friday during Lent.

Family Programs

Our members set up, cook and run our annual Family Picnic.

We hold a Family Communion Service four times a year.

We hold a Family Christmas party.

We conduct family outings to concerts, plays and sporting events.

Youth Programs

We host a soccer challenge in October and a free throw contest in December. The winners of both advance to District, State and National levels.
